National Innovation Survey of the Food and Beverage Industry In Trinidad and
Tobago, 2006
The National Institute of Higher Education, Research,
Science and Technology (NIHERST) conducted a national survey on innovation
in the food and beverage industry during July to September, 2006.
The objectives of this study included:
-
types of innovative activities
undertaken and the reasons for undertaking such activities,
-
obstacles/hindrances to
innovative activities,
-
impact of innovation on key
performance indicators,
-
the role of linkages for the
acquisition of information and collaboration leading to innovation, and
-
research and development in the
innovation process.
This undertaking is intended to provide insights into the
innovation process and to assist decision-makers in developing policies to
create the environment and incentives to catalyse innovation in the
industry.
A report of the survey results was
published in September 2007.
