Lion Dancers in Combat |
Two Chinese lions, one glittering gold, the other majestic black and jewel green entered the TechKnoTheatre stage, putting the drama of Science temporarily on hold, as they pranced, pounced and whirled to drums and clanging cymbals in celebration of the 200th Anniversary of Chinese Arrival in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Wan Zhong Shan troupe from Hoi Ping, Guandong Province in Southern China, brought these mystical creatures to life, thrilling audiences in a packed out theatre for two performances on Friday 29th September and Sunday 1st October, 2006. This special feature at SciTechKnoFest 2006 being held at the NIHERST/NGC National Science Centre, D’Abadie was courtesy Madame Maria Lee of the Chinese Art & Cultural Society.
