On the road to Palo Seco
The NIHERST/NGC National Science Centre is on the road again, with its Road
Show targeting primary schools in the district of Palo Seco and environs.
Starting on 25th January 2010, this latest Road Show will be bringing the
Centre’s brand of “Science for All” to 918 students in eight primary
schools.
The Road Show combines interactive exhibits and
hands-on activities to help make the learning of science fun and enjoyable.
For the first time, the Road Show will offer daily activities on specific
topics of the Primary Science curriculum from Infant I to Standard IV.
Science explainers will also conduct planetarium shows and demonstrations on
robotics will be presented by staff of the Innovation Unit.
The eight schools taking part in the Road Show are:
Rancho Quemado Government Primary School;
Santa Flora Anglican Primary School;
Erin SDA Primary School;
Erin RC (St. Francis) Primary School;
Buenos Ayres Government Primary School;
Santa Flora Government Primary School;
Palo Seco Government Primary School; and
Beach Camp Private Primary School.
The Road Show to Palo
Seco and environs runs for a 5-week period and ends on Friday 26th February
2010.
