The National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST) will host a Science Week centred on the celebrations of World Environment and Oceans Days.

Dates: 3^rd – 8^th June, 2019.

Opening hours:

• Monday 3^rd-Tuesday 4^th: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Thursday 6^th – Friday 7^th: 9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday 8^th: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Telescope viewing).

On Wednesday 5^th June, we will be closed due to the holiday (Eid). Career day (secondary school students) will be scheduled for Friday 7^th June.

Our offerings will include a mixture of interactive exhibits/activities, workshops, lectures/presentations, live science demonstrations, information/display booths from government and private agencies, a mini career forum and a telescope viewing evening. All activities are designed to illustrate a variety of basic and applied scientific principles intended to engage student and general public visitors in a fun experiential learning atmosphere.
