The National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST) will host a Science Week centred on the celebrations of World Environment and Oceans Days.

Venue: The National Science Centre
Dates: 3rd – 8th June, 2019.

Opening hours:

  • Monday 3rd-Tuesday 4th: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday 6th – Friday 7th: 9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday 8th: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Telescope viewing).
On Wednesday 5th June, we will be closed due to the holiday (Eid). Career day (secondary school students) will be scheduled for Friday 7th June.

Our offerings will include a mixture of interactive exhibits/activities, workshops, lectures/presentations, live science demonstrations, information/display booths from government and private agencies, a mini career forum and a telescope viewing evening. All activities are designed to illustrate a variety of basic and applied scientific principles intended to engage student and general public visitors in a fun experiential learning atmosphere.
