Inspired by the high quality children’s magazines seen in her travels through Latin America, the President of NIHERST, Mrs. Maureen Manchouck decided that Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean could “benefit immensely from a magazine of similar quality”.

The NIHERST Children’s Science Magazine aims to help children recognise the science and technology that surround them in their daily lives, therefore encouraging the growth of genuine interest in, and appreciation for, science.

In each issue of the magazine, Iggy the Iguana, our young reptile friend, shows children innovative ways of making science fun and exciting.
